We ought to recognize all the mistakes that were made in the past in name of popular revolutions. Millions of people were killed by authoritarian regimes that came to power promising to govern for the common good. It happened. It is a shame. Their moves destroy our hopes.

It is time for a new, refresh and energetic left to get rid of its cacoethes and get back to its historical purposes. Fighting poverty, fighting inequality, strong social protection nets, strong and efficient public services. These are our aims. They have always been.

We are through defending murders. No measures can justify bloody endings. Our enemy can only be hit with thoughts, and by doing in it, we will defeat them. We will prevail finding common grounds and gathering different fronts against those whose interests have impoverished us all. We shall not lose focus on our main target: restraining wealth. A strong, huge and magnificent middle class ought to be open for those coming from below and together we will supress the top. It is time to implode the social pyramid and the bogus meritocratic society. The rich will pay their share, and their share will be greedy. The rich must fall down and meet us in our expanded middle class. Are we truly dignified citizens? If we are, dignity can no longer be a privilege, but a universal right. Less Burke, more Paine.
